Brynna single wind turbine, South Wales

Landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) for a proposed 500kW single wind turbine, 72m to blade tip, near Brynna, South Wales.

Through consultation with Rhondda Cynon Taf unitary authority, a 15km radius study area and 8 viewpoints to be interpreted as photomontages were used to inform the LVIA.

The LVIA considered the impacts and effects of the proposed wind turbine on landscape relevant designations, landscape character areas and visual amenity receptors (people) and their views. The impact and effects of the proposed wind turbine, in addition to other wind energy schemes in the study area was also assessed.
